OGDENSBURG -- The City of Ogdensburg has been recognized by the New York State Conference of Mayors (NYCOM) for its "Energy Conservation Program."
The program won third place in the over 10,000 population category in NYCOM'S 28th annual Local Government Achievement Awards Program.
"The City of Ogdensburg is to be commended for this excellent program," said Richard Milne, president of NYCOM.
"This award recognizes that local officials have been and are continuing to work diligently to improve the community and quality of life for residents in innovative and efficient ways. I would like to congratulate Mayor Bill Nelson on a job well done.," he said.
The Conference of Mayors represents 581 cities and villages in New York and has existed since 1910.
