OGDENSBURG -- The Ogdensburg Pride and Beautification Commission recently celebrated its 15th anniversary.
Mayor William Nelson created the group shortly after he was first elected in 2000.
Since then, the members have worked, developed, or promoted various projects and activities to beautify Ogdensburg or inspire pride in its residents.
On Friday, they hoored four people for helping the commission -- Coralee Barrett, John Wade and Carlos Lopez, along with Nelson and his wife Darlene.
On Sunday, May 24, the commission will begin its next project, the cleanup of the area around the Ford Vault. The work will begin at 9 a.m. and volunteers are welcome.
