Several St. Lawrence women were honored recently by the Girl Scouts of NYPENN Pathways for their volunteer contributions to the organization.

Julie Bush of Ogdensburg recently took on the role of manager for the Picquet Service Unit. She also coordinates the cookie program and is a troop leader. She organized the local "Cookie Kick-off" the last three years for 300 girls.

Sandy Mallory of Potsdam is an active volunteer, service area team member, troop leader and alternate delegate for the council. She also manages troop resources for the service area.

Polly Michael of Heuvelton has been a troop leader for many years working with girls of all grade levels. The girls have had a wide variety of experiences, including catching and banding geese. She is also the service area’s secretary.

Other area volunteers were honored with the Volunteer of Excellence Award, given for outstanding service while partnering directly with girls. They include Tara Crowley, Jenn Hitsman and Sandra McCarthy of Ogdensburg.
