OGDENSBURG -- Ogdensburg City Pool will open June 17 with fees doubled from the previous year.
Pool access will now cost $1 for children and $2 for adults.
The city has also reduced hours of operation. Public access will now be held Tuesday through Sunday from noon to 6 p.m.
The cut was made last fall as the city was looking for ways to trim the budget.
For those looking to save money, pool passes for children can be purchased for $15. A family pass for up to five people can b purchased for $40.
In 2016 $40,248 were budgeted for wages related to the pool. By closing two hours earlier the city expects to reduce costs to $28,028.
