OGDENSBURG – Ogdensburg police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating two men who reportedly robbed Nick’s Liquor Store Thursday afternoon.
Ogdensburg Police Department responded to a report of an armed robbery at Nick’s Liquor Store, 1310 Ford Street, at 6:06 p.m. Thursday.
Police say the employee who reported the robbery said two male subjects, one armed with a handgun, entered the business and demanded the money from the register.
The suspects were described as two, African-American males, who were smaller in stature, however, police say their faces were partially concealed.
The two, male suspects fled the store on foot, in a westerly direction, through the neighborhoods located between the 1300 and 1000 blocks of Ford and Washington Streets.
Police said an immediate perimeter was established, but, a search of the area, by multiple law enforcement agencies, came up empty handed.
“Fortunately, the employee was not physically harmed, however, the suspects did flee the store with a sum of currency,” Lieutenant Daniel Mousaw said of the incident.
The Ogdensburg Police Department is working this case and asking anyone with information to please contact the Ogdensburg Police Department at (315) 393-1555.
The Ogdensburg Police Department was assisted by the New York State Police and the St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office.
