OGDENSBURG -- Ogdensburg City Police are looking for a meth-making suspect.
Tyler D. Finley, 30, formerly of 509 King St. is wanted for allegedly having meth-making ingredients, waste and inactive one-pot meth labs, according to Det. Daniel Mousaw.
On Monday, police went to Finley’s residence for a court-ordered eviction. They say they found components and ingredients used to make methamphetamine. Mousaw said police obtained a search warrant, which lead to investigators finding “a large quantity of methamphetamine components, ingredients and waste … both inside the residence, as well as in various areas of the backyard, [including] a number of inactive ‘one-pots.’”
A member of the St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office Drug Task Force trained in meth labs and the New York State Police Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Team responded to the scene.
“Investigators and CCSERT members spent several hours searching and conducting the removal of all of the hazardous waste,” Mousaw said.
The Ogdensburg City Fire Department and Ogdensburg Volunteer Rescue Squad, who provided standby at the scene, assisted police, Mousaw said.
Finley is described as 5’5” tall, weighing 145 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.
Mousaw asks anyone with information on his whereabouts to call the Ogdensburg Police Department at 393-1551.
