OGDENSBURG -- Ogdensburg officials are reminding residents of winter regulations for parking and removing snow as the season approaches.
Overnight parking on streets is prohibited in the city from Dec. 1 to March 31, according to a release from the city.
Officials are also notifying residents that they are responsible for snow removal on sidewalks in front of their residences.
According to the release property owners should remove any snow that might be accidentally place in the roadway.
Snow must be cleared from sidewalks.
“It is the property owner’s responsibility to ensure that their sidewalk is passable and available to the walking public,” the release says.
Residents are encouraged to report illegal activity to the City Police or DPW so that it can be addressed.
Residents are asked not to push snow out into the street for city plows to manage.
“It is illegal to place snow or cause for it to be placed in a roadway,” the release says.
