OGDENSBURG -- Ogdensburg officials are reminding citizens that city-owned property along Ford Street cannot be reserved for the Annual Seaway Festival parade on July 30.
City property is not allowed to be reserved for any function, according to a release from the city.
Residents will not be allowed to place chairs, fencing or vehicles along city-owned property prior to the day of any celebration.
City staff will remove any such items from city-owned property up to 5 p.m. the Friday before the Seaway Festival Parade. Property removed will be temporarily stored and disposed of if not claimed within 14 days of the parade date.
This allows city staff to maintain (mow, remove debris, etc.) the property safely without obstructions.
Residents will be allowed to use the city-owned properties on a first come-first served basis.
