Ogdensburg and Massena men placed in the money at the New York B.A.S.S. Chapter Federation's first tournament of the year, the Susan Johnson Lake George Opener, June 19 in Ticonderoga.
A total of 192 anglers took place in this B.A.S.S. tournament.
Eight local Northern New York Bassmaster club members took part in the tournament competition including: Brad Paradis (Ogdensburg), Corey Palmer (Ogdensburg), Chris Flint (Canton), James Moore (Gouverneur) and Burnie Haney (Calcium) in the Boater division and Guy Durant (Massena), Eric Gibbs and John Flint (Canton) in the co-angler division.
Northern New York Bassmaster anglers Brad Paradis and Guy Durant placed in the money for the Federation tournament: Brad Paradis with 12.36 lbs for 12th place out of 96 boater anglers and Guy Durant with 9.22 lbs for 14th out of 96 non-boating coanglers.
The next two NY State Chapter Federation tournaments will take place on the St. Lawrence River - Massena Intake launch on Sunday, July 24, and Cayuga Lake Sunday, Oct. 2.
The federation Club Team Championship tournament will be on the Hudson River August 20-21.
