OGDENSBURG – Ogdensburg Maple City trail remains partially closed due to damage caused by recent flooding.
The section of the Maple City Trail from the Lake Street Pedestrian Bridge to the Pump House will remain closed for an extended period of time and until further notice, release from the city said.
There is significant erosion damage, which is ongoing and is a safety concern.
Anyone trespassing in this area will be subject to a fine.
Officials closed two sections of the trail last week due to severe flooding. Photos posted by the city show that part of the trail remains underwater. Pavement along the trail has also been damaged due to the high water levels.
The section of the trail that follows the former railroad bed along the river to the Black Bridge has been reopened to the Public.
