MACOMB -- An Ogdensburg man is jailed on a total of 10 counts, including six felonies, stemming from domestic violence, according to state troopers.
Michael D. Wells, 30, of Ogdensburg is charged with three felony counts of first-degree unlawful imprisonment and single felony counts of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, first-degree reckless endangerment and first-degree menacing, troopers said.
He is also facing three misdemeanor counts of criminal obstruction of breathing, along with one count of fourth-degree criminal mischief, misdemeanor, troopers said.
Police said the weapons possession count was elevated to a felony because Wells has been previously convicted of a crime. Officers also said the mischief count was for allegedly trying to prevent the victim from making an emergency call.
Wells was charged at 12:30 p.m. Friday in Macomb stemming from an incident reported moments earlier, according to troopers.
He was arraigned in court and ordered held pending a future apperance, police said.
