OSWEGATCHIE -- An Ogdensburg man was jailed without bail Tuesday evening for possessing 11 bags of crack cocaine during a traffic stop on State Highway 37, according to state police.

Robert D. Brown, 26, was charged at 5:30 p.m. with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, felony, driving without a license and no seatbelt, troopers said.

Troopers said they conducted a traffic stop on a 1994 Ford F150 and the driver, Brown, was found in possession of the drugs.

He was arraigned in the Morristown Town Court and remanded to St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility with no bail, officers said.
