CANTON -- An Ogdensburg man was jailed for allegedly bringing drugs into the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility Wednesday at 3:45 p.m., according to St. Lawrence County Sheriff's deputies.
Mitchell W. LaRose, 26, 914 Lafayette St., was charged with first-degree promoting prison contraband for bringing a small amount of suboxone into the jail, deputies said.
The contraband was discovered after officers booked LaRose on an unrelated charged, police said.
He was arraigned in Pierrepont Town Court and remanded to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility on $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.
