CANTON — An Ogdensburg man was arrested for promoting prison contraband on Sept. 29, according to St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies.
Cody W. Billings, 32, was charged with first-degree promoting prison contraband and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, officers said.
The alleged incident took place at St. Lawrence County Jail.
Billings was found to be in possession of suboxone while he was an inmate at the correctional facility, deputies said.
He was arraigned in Potsdam court and ordered held on $1,500 bail, officers said.
