GOUVERNEUR – After a lengthy investigation into larcenies at the St. Lawrence County Solid Waste Transfer Station in Gouverneur, detectives and deputies from the St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department arrested an Ogdensburg man Thursday and charged him with grand larceny.

Kevin J. Roddy, 49, has been charged with third-degree grand larceny, a Class D felony, and four counts official misconduct, Class A misdemeanors, after he allegedly stole about $5,800 in cash and checks from the site, where he worked as a scale attendant.

It is believed that Roddy stole the money from payments to the transfer station this past January and February.

Roddy was arraigned by Canton Town Justice Christopher Curley and released to probation supervision to reappear at a later date.
