OGDENSBURG -- Ogdensburg International Airport reached 10,000 enplanements for 2016 on Saturday, Dec. 31 with the takeoff of an Allegiant Airlines flight to Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.
That was the incentive goal set by the Federal Aviation Administration for the Ogdensburg Bridge and Port Authority to win $1 million from the agency for airport operation
Dr. Tahar Abdallar and family of Gatineau, Quebec were honored by OGS officials in a brief ceremony at the airport.
“Ten thousand enplanements is the first step and a new number that we have not reached in our history,” said OBPA Board Chairman Samuel J. LaMacchia. “Our future is just beginning and we are so appreciative of the many people who have helped us to get to this level.”
“We are delighted to welcome our 10,000th enplanement to Ogdensburg International Airport.” said Wade A. Davis, OBPA executive director.
