OGDENSBURG -- Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center recently joined in what they call “Medical-Surgical Nurses Week” by The Academy of Medical-Surgical Nurses (AMSN).
Medical and surgical nurses “make a difference by building the profession of nursing and the medical-surgical nursing specialty,” said a hospital press release.
They “mentor and nurture each other and advocate for patients and families at the local and national levels, and serve their communities through care and education, and promote medical-surgical nursing certification, resulting in better and safer healthcare,” the hospital said.
