OGDENSBURG – The Ogdensburg Police Department Criminal Investigations Unit is asking for help with their look into a home invasion early today in which a New York Avenue woman was assaulted.
Police responded at 1:53 a.m. to 715 New York Ave. after a complaint that, while the woman was home alone, “someone entered her unsecure home and assaulted her,” according to Det. Jarret LeClair.
The victim told LeClair that the suspect is a male between 5-10 and 6 ft. tall with a buzzed haircut and very pitted and scarred face.
There is no report as to any injuries to the as-yet unidentified woman
Police are asking anyone who might have information they can use in the case to contact the Ogdensburg Police Department at 315-393-1555.
