Ogdensburg girls’ charity raises $8,000 and collects 1,700 sets of PJs for needy kids

OGDENSBURG -- A charity started by two Ogdensburg girls raised more than $8,000 and collected 1,738 pairs of pajamas for needy children in the North Country.

PJs for Xmas was founded six years ago by Abby and Camille Marshall. The program served 1,935 children this year, the most in its six-year history.

In the past six years Camille and Abby's organization has collected 8,984 pairs of PJs, along with $34,831.47. The organization has clothed 8,835 children in the past six years.

“ Everyone from PJS 4 Xmas, want to express our gratitude for your donations, love and support,” a release from the Marshall’s said. “We not be able to do any of our efforts with out the support of our great county. Thank you all for a beautiful Christmas season.”
