OGDENSBURG -- Michael Farrell will replace outgoing Ogdensburg Fire Department Chief Steven Badlam beginning Feb. 5.

Badlam recently announced he will retire after serving on the department for nearly 30 years. Farrell was born and raised in the Ogdensburg area and graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy.

He is currently an Assistant Chief at the Ogdensburg Fire Department.

The Civil Service test for Fire Chief will be given in Jan. of 2014.
