OGDENSBURG -- Ogdensburg City Council will consider raising rates at the Lockwood Arena and Dobisky Center Monday.

A resolution included in the agenda proposes raising rates for all categories. If passed the resolution would raise hourly for resident youth groups from $65 to $66 per. Non-resident youth groups would rise from $85 to $90 per hour.

For resident adult groups, rates would rise from $75 to $77. Adult rates for non-residents would increase from $95 to $100. For birthday parties the rates would raise from $65 to $70 per hour.

At the Dobisky Center the proposal would raise rates for the small room from $9 to $10 per hour, while the large room would increase from $14 to $15 per hour. The rate for renting both rooms at once would rise from $23 to $25 per hour.

It is unclear how much revenue the city expects to gain from the increased fees, but that will likely be discussed Monday when the council meets at 7 p.m. at City Hall.
