OGDENSBURG – Ogdensburg officials are looking into an inmate labor program, according to a public update from City Manager Sarah Purdy.
Chief Andrew Kennedy found that a program is available for short-term limited projects and obtained a six-page application form.
That application was shared with Parks and Recreation Director Matthew J. Curatolo and Director of Public Works Scott Thornhill to see if they might have projects that are eligible for the program.
Ogdensburg officials will likely revisit the idea at the next council meeting, which is set for Aug. 14 at 7 p.m. at City Hall.
