OGDENSBURG – Ogdensburg City Council will interview multiple candidates for the city manager position Thursday at a special meeting at 3:30 p.m. at City Hall.
The county will convene into executive session to meet with the candidates.
Ogdensburg City Manager John Pinkerton will retire December 31, roughly six-months earlier than he had agreed to previously.
Pinkerton was hired in October of 2012 on a three-year contract. Pinkerton had planned to retire when that term expired, but agreed to stay on longer at request of the council.
Details on the potential candidates were unavailable Tuesday. City Manager John Pinkerton said he was not part of the hiring process and Mayor William Nelson was not immediately available for comment.
