OGDENSBURG – Ogdensburg City Council vote on two traffic changes, a land lease and an equipment purchase Tuesday.
City council will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday due to Memorial Day.
Councilors will likely pass a resolution to allow right-hand turns at red lights at the intersection of New York Ave. and Spring Street. Previously these turns were prohibited during from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The board is also expected to amend a city ordinance regarding yield intersections to include a stop sign that was added at Champlain Street and Route 37. This is a housekeeping issue that will make the books match what is actually at the intersection, according to Mayor William Nelson.
The board will vote on leasing a portion of the Greenbelt, near the Ogdensburg skate park, to Scott Strader for operation of a concession stand.
A resolution to purchase a Vibratory Asphalt Compactor from Vantage Equipment LLC for $40,200 is also on the agenda.
The meeting will bill held at city hall and is open to the public.
