OGDENSBURG – Ogdensburg City Council will host two public hearings Monday and act on several resolutions including a $128,465 contract for Water Storage Vault Repairs at the Water Treatment Plant.
The council will hold a hearing for the potential sale of a 30-foot x 171-foot property on Paper Lisbon Street. A Second hearing will allow the public to present and discuss ideas for the upcoming community block grant applications.
Council will also act on several resolutions including the submission of a $500,000 grant to address recent damage caused by high water levels on the St. Lawrence River and a contract agreement for repairs and installation of a “geomembrane” at the City Water Treatment Plant.
The contract is for a sum not to exceed $128,465. The Department of Environmental Conservation is requiring the city to repair a leaking roof on the water storage vault at the plant.
The city solicited bids and engineers from Tisdel Associates recommended awarding the contract to Frank J. Danko Construction Corporation, which was the low bidder.
Ogdensburg City Council will meet Monday at 7 p.m. at city hall.
