OGDENSBURG – Ogdensburg City Council will discuss adding security cameras to Kid’s Kingdom at the Monday meeting set for 7 p.m. at City Hall.
City council listed security cameras as a discussion item at the board meeting just weeks after an Oct. 2 arson that caused minor damage to the playground equipment.
At the time, firefighters were called to the scene as some of the equipment was engulfed in flames.
They park was temporarily closed down but was reopened the dame day.
Some damaged areas were blocked.
Police are still investigating the alleged arson, but city council may consider adding surveillance cameras to deter future vandalism at the park.
