OGDENSBURG – Kevin K. Kendall will be Ogdensburg City School District’s next superintendent.

Kendall now serves as the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum, Instruction, Assessment and Technology for the Ogdensburg City School District, a position he has held since July 1, 2013.

He served as the secondary principal for grades 7 & 8 from July 2009 through June 2013 and secondary assistant principal for grades 9-12 from August 2007 through July 2009. He began his career as a secondary mathematics teacher in the Ogdensburg City School District in 1999.

Kendall earned his Certificate of Advanced Studies from the College of St. Rose. He received his Masters of Science in Education and Bachelor of Arts from the State University of New York at Potsdam.

Kendall will provide an entry plan to the Board of Education, district employees, and community prior to final appointment. A date for this presentation will be determined in the near future.

The search for the replacement of retiring Ogdensburg City School District Superintendent Timothy M. Vernsey is down to a single candidate.

Advertisement for the position began in November, with the deadline for applications being Friday, December 29, 2017. A total of four completed applications were received and reviewed by the Board of Education on Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2018.

After reviewing each candidate and their credentials with Burns, the Ogdensburg City School District Board of Education has decided to Kevin K. Kendall forward as superintendent.
