OGDENSBURG -- An Ogdensburg Army veteran, who served in the Korean War, was awarded the Bronze Star today at Ogdensburg City Hall,
Lake was joined by friends and family, some who traveled from as far as Ft. Bragg North Carolina to witness the long awaited honor.
The medal is award for acts of heroism, acts of merit, or meritorious service in a combat zone.
It is the fourth-highest combat decoration in the U.S. military.
Rep. Bill Owens traveled to Ogdensburg to attend the event.
