OGDENSBURG -- Ogdensburg City Council approved spending up to $92,000 on to replace the roof on the Department of Public Works salt barn.
The contract will be awarded to Premier Roof Systems Inc., Harrisville.
The work consists of the removal and replacement of the existing roofing, flashing, trim, vents, etc. on the City of Ogdensburg sand and salt storage building.
The building is located on Champlain Street.
The bids were evaluated by engineering firm Tisdel Associates and Premier was found to have the low bid.
The price tag includes $83,238 for construction costs, plus an additional $8,762 for contingencies.
Half the funding for the project will come from the water fund, while the remainder will come from the sewer maintenance fund.
