OGDENSBURG -- The Ogdensburg City School District Board of Education approved the appointment of an elementary teacher, four teaching assistants and an hourly speech pathologist at Monday's meeting.
The retirements of two longtime teaching assistants were also approved.
Marci Woods was appointed elementary teacher at a salary of $52,894.
Jennifer Mills was appointed speech pathologist at an hourly rate of $36.79.
Heather Bouchard, Victoria Lovely, Crystal Monroe and Brandon Mullin were appointed as teaching assistants at a salary of $21,679.
Teaching assistants Gayle Steinburg and Dorene Shattuck had their retirements approved by the board. Steinburg was employed by the district for 31 years, while Shattuck was employed for 16.
Superintendent Timothy Vernsey offered congratulations and appreciation to the retirees for their years of service.
