OGDENSBURG -- AmVets Post 19 Ladies Auxiliary recently held a Strawberry Festival to raise money for their "Bedding For Our Soldiers" project.

Soldiers are no longer issued bedding when entering Fort Drum.

The Ladies raised $700 and have purchased 39 sets of sheets, 30 pillows and 21 blankets, and anticipate purchasing this much again next month. Linda Hurteau,

Bedding For Our Soldiers Project Chair, stated that they have made this a continuing project for the Auxiliary and will be purchasing many more items for our Soldiers.

Donations are accepted at the Post at 215 Ford Street, Ogdensburg, 13669 or will be picked up by Linda Hurteau. More info: 393- 2519.
