OGDENSBURG -- The Amvets Post 19 Ladies Auxiliary is seeking applicants for a $1,000 assistance fund.
The post recently raised the funds at the second annual "Salute to the Veterans Variety Show."
Veterans can apply for the money, which can be used for any expense or project they need help with.
Last year the money was used to build a pressure-treated porch for a disabled veteran.
To apply send a letter to Charlene Romano, 609 Paterson St., Ogdensburg. Family or friends may apply on behalf of the veteran.
