HEUVELTON – An Ogdensburg man has been charged with driving while intoxicated following an accident that damaged a utility pole and fire hydrant April 13, St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies say.

Brian L. Middlemiss, 28, of 426 Clark St., was charged with driving while intoxicated after deputies said he drove on the wrong side of the road, sheared a utility pole and rolled his vehicle into a fire hydrant.

Deputies said Middlemiss had a blood alcohol content of .08 percent.

He was ticketed with failure to keep right and failure to keep speed.
