If you think it felt like summer yesterday, you were not alone, but you shouldn’t expect anything like it again soon.

The noon reading by the National Weather Service at Massena's airport, Richards Field, was 71. By 1 p.m., the temperature had peaked at 74 degrees, a new record high for Nov. 12.

Unofficial nearby recording stations had the temperature reaching 75 degrees.

The old record was 70 degrees for a high on Nov. 12, 1982.

The normal high for the date is 45 degrees, and that is more in line with what we can expect for the rest of the week, according to the NWS.

Today’s high, and the daytime high temperatures expected through Saturday, are not expected to get much above 40 degrees.

And tonight, lows will be in the upper teens.
