Community members and organizations donated gift and household items for the St. Lawrence County Office for the Aging’s holiday basket contest.
The contest was a huge success, according to the office. Over 40 baskets were created.
The baskets are for senior citizens in the department’s home delivered meal program.
“The holidays can be a lonely time for seniors in the county and these baskets helped make the holiday season brighter!” the announcement said.
