NORWOOD -- The Norwood Village Green Concert Series has postponed its Aug. 12 benefit concert because of various conflicts including the mega-reunion of Potsdam High School scheduled for that weekend, the concert series director’s travel itinerary, and the series workers individual and ever-changing schedules.
In short, key personnel are not available.
The benefit concert will be rescheduled for a to-be-announced date in October and will be held in the community room of the municipal building. It will be a solo and duo local singer/songwriter event.
Details will follow later.
The purpose of the benefit concert remains the same. The renovation project for the band shell is in need of “top off” money.
In addition to all of the other work that has been completed, a new roof was required boosting the total expenses of the project above the original budget.
