NORWOOD -- The Norwood Village Green Concert series has launched a crowd-funding campaign to purchase three Atlas professional heavy duty microphone stands to help with the sound reinforcement of large groups such as Northern Symphonic Winds and Northern Lights Orchestra.
These stands have wheels on them so that placement of the mics can be customized to get a great mix. They will be useful in other applications such as choruses, sections of big bands, and even for such things as string quartets.
The series will still engage a sound engineer for the mic usage for now. Later on 3 specialized microphones will be purchased costing another $2,100.
