NORWOOD -- Local grillers Sidney Belmore and Dave Tyo placed well in the "I Love BBQ and Music Festival" held recently in Lake Placid.
Sidney Belmore, of Norwood was the chief cook for team Sid Vicious BBQ. He competed in the junior/youth state champion division. Taking first place in chicken, 
second in ribs, third in steak and fifth in dessert, earning him a silver medal and second place overall.
His mentor Dave Tyo, of Norwood, was chief cook for Locked N Loaded BBQ team. Tyo competed in the pro-division. He took a seventh in chicken, 13th place in brisket and a sixth place people’s choice award for pulled pork.
Sidney is the son of Laura Tyo of Norwood and Derek Belmore of Waddington.
