NORWOOD -- The Norwood Public Library Board of Trustees recently appointed Rebecca Donnelly as library director.
Donnelly, who served as the library's interim director for three months, was a children's librarian in Rio Rancho, N.M. for six years before relocating to the North Country in 2013.
She has also worked as a substitute in the libraries at St. Lawrence University and Colton-Pierrepont Central School.
"I'm a public library person," she said in a statement from the Norwood library. "I believe strongly in the good that public libraries do, and I'm looking forward to building the library's relationships with our patrons and other organizations in the community." "The Norwood Library Communuity is truly fortunate to have a person with Rebecca's education, experience, and skills leading the library," Norwood library board president Julia Colbert said.
Donnelly will receive a master's degree in library and information science from San Jose State University in 2015.
