NORWOOD – Two Norwood-Norfolk Central School speech pathologists have been awarded $1,500 in funds to help their students with autism.
The Puzzle Piece Foundation Awarded this year’s Northern New York Grant to Kristy Gardner and Heather Morrow.
The two speech professionals plan on using the money to purchase a variety of materials that will benefit their students with autism academically, emotionally, and socially, the announcement of the grant said.
The Puzzle Piece Foundation is a non-profit that strives to provide teachers and service providers with additional tools and opportunities to better serve children with autism. The Puzzle Piece Foundation will hold its third annual "Color Me Blue" 5K Walk/Run during Brasher Falls' Summerfest Weekend at 8 a.m. Saturday, July 30.
