Norwood-Norfolk fourth graders receive tree seedlings from Alcoa

NORWOOD – Alcoa recently presented students at Norwood-Norfolk Central School with a Norway Spruce tree seedling as part of Alcoa's 10 Million Trees program and in celebration of Arbor Day.

Each April, Alcoa's Massena Operations distributes tree seedlings to its employees and to local fourth-grade students as part of this program. Launched in 1998, the goal of Alcoa's 10 Million Trees program is to plant 10 million trees by Alcoa employees and their families in Alcoa communities by 2020.

Over 30,000 tree seedlings have been distributed locally since the program launched.
