NORWOOD -- The Norwood-Norfolk Elementary School celebrated Read Across America Day with reading, writing, and art activities last week.
Read Across America Day is a nationwide reading celebration that takes place annually on March 2, Dr. Seuss’s birthday.
Reading teacher Mandy Boyd organized this year's events in the school. The activities included fifth grade students reading to classrooms in the elementary school. Also, classroom teachers switched rooms to be guest readers in other classrooms.
An end of the week assembly featured Dr. Seuss, played by teacher Andy Chichester.
