NORWOOD -- Norwood-Norfolk Elementary School recently participated in The Great Kindness Challenge and earned status as a Kindness Certified School.
Over 5 million students in 8,000 schools across our country and the world took place in this global kindness movement.
During the week of Jan. 25, Norwood-Norfolk Elementary students were able to show and document over 1,000 acts of kindness within their school building and raise close to $800 in coins to help build a school for children in the village of Mikel, Kenya.
Organizers say the experience has made a positive and lasting difference in the school and the communities it serves.
