NORWOOD — At the Oct. 16 Norwood-Norfolk Central school board meeting the board approved several winter and spring coaches for this year.
Winter coaches: Becky Byrns, boys JV basketball; Nate Plantz, boys varsity basketball; Melissa Childs, girls modified basketball; Kevin LaPoint, girls JV basketball; Jason Gallant, girls varsity basketball; Doug LaVigne, varsity hockey; Rick Short, varsity hockey assistant and Gino Bisceglia, indoor track.
Spring coaches appointed were: David Rishe, golf; Kent Fetter, girls spring track; Gino Bisceglia, boys spring track; Becky Byrns, varsity softball; Greg Butler, modified softball and Steve LaShomb, varsity baseball
Other school board appointments included Cassidy Mattimore as the district’s Committee on Special Education administrator. She was approved for permanent appointment effective Dec. 1.
