NORWOOD -- The Norwood-Norfolk Central School Angel Tree program received 100 handmade hats from Robert Haggett of Norwood this past holiday season.
For the past five years Haggett has donated 100 hats to the committee.
The Angel Tree program, organized by Norwood-Norfolk faculty and staff, collects donated clothing and toys that are given to families in need as Christmas presents.
Haggett has also invited some local knitters to make mittens for the project.
Last year, Angela (Bishop) Mann, a 1996 NNCS alumnus, heard about the project. Mann challenged her local knitting group to donate mittens to Angel Tree.
The group donated 64 pairs of mittens.
Committee members said both Mann and Bishop were valuable contributors to the annual charity.
