NORWOOD -- Richard “Dick” Trivilino, who died last November at the age of 100, is to be honored with the naming of a section of Main Street for him.
At 1 p.m. June 25, “we will dedicate the road in front of his house on Main Street,” at 80 S. Main, said Mayor Tim Levison.
Trivilino was born in Gouverneur in 1915. He served with Army Air Force during World Way II from 1942-46, then working at the family bakery in Norwood on his return to civilian life. He retired in 1965.
He was an avid seaplane pilot, and hunted and fished until about 10 years ago.
He lived in the Main Street house until just a month before his death. He died last Nov. 17 at the United Helpers Riverledge home.
Levison said the dedication was taken up at the request of family members still in the North Country. He also said other family members have been contacted so they may attend.
