NORWOOD – Norwood Mayor Timothy Levison’s position was re-affirmed in Tuesday’s election.
The mayor, appointed from his trustee position after Mayor Jim McFaddin died last year, was unopposed and received 50 votes; two incumbent trustees, Michael Zagrobelny and Michael DiVincenzo, also unopposed, received 44 and 46 votes, respectively, for four-year seats. With 43 votes, Kristian Nezezon, also unopposed, won a trustee seat for two years, to fill out the balance of Levison’s trustee term.
Trustee Jim Besaw did not seek re-election.
Turnout was light, Levison said, because none of the candidates faced opposition, and because "I like to believe a lot of people didn't turn out because they're satisfied with what we're doing."
Levison expects the swearing-in to be held at Monday’s board meeting.
