Norwood man jailed on $5,000 bail on criminal contempt charges for menacing in Potsdam

POTSDAM – A Norwood man was jailed Sunday following a felony criminal contempt charge after an investigation of an order of protection violation first reported to state police on Saturday,.

Richard H. Peters, 34, was charged at 3:32 p.m. at the state police station with first-degree criminal contempt for physical menacing, second-degree reckless endangerment and endangering the welfare of a child, troopers said.

He was sent to jail on $5,000 bail, officers said.
