NORWOOD -- The Norwood Kiwanis inducted the superintendent of Norwood-Norfolk Central School as a new member and handed out Legion of Honor pins recently.

Norwood Kiwanis President Alex Allen called up Kiwanians Caralee Kardash and Jim McFaddin to help assist with the induction of new member Jamie Cruikshank.

Cruikshank, N-N superintendent, is also an active community volunteer. He has coached Basketball and soccer for all ages. Before becoming Superintendent at Norwood-Norfolk he was a teacher, Dean of Students, and then became Principal at AA Kingston Middle School.

Caralee Kardash presented the newly inducted Cruikshank with his Kiwanis pin.

Joe Swan was also honored at the event. He was presented with a certificate and Legion of Honor pin for being a part of the Norwood Kiwanis club for 50 years.

Swan was instrumental during the projects Operation Sleep Tight, Toys for Tots, and many other projects.

Also presented with a Legion of Honor certificate and pin was Kiwanian Patti Dean. She has been a member of the Norwood club for 10 years. She is the faculty advisor for the Norwood-Norfolk Key Club, has chaired many events such as the Valentine Luncheon for the residents at Baldwin Acres, New Years Brunch, and participated in many other projects.
