NORWOOD -- Nine-year old Vanessa Stanka of Norwood held a fundraiser to collect non-perishable food items to benefit Massena St. Vincent DePaul food pantry.
Vanessa started this fundraiser a couple months ago because she has a passion for helping others in need.
With the help of friends and family and a few members of the community she was able to collect a fair amount of food to help those in need.
Vanessa and her mother dropped off all the food items on May 18.
She said she hopes to be able to continue her fundraisers in the future.
